But remember, the past is never static.

As our record of the past is continually expanded and our own priorities are always shifting, history is continually re- interpreted. 

 

If the future depends on our ability and desire to learn from the past, we should be willing to approach the historic record with a mind open to sharing and exploring new information and re-interpreting data. The process brings us closer, knowing we are building the future together.
